Storm Freya seems to have passed – but blustery showers, and maybe even some thunder and lightning and hail, are expected throughout the day.

Showery rain will soon arrive into the west. It will move eastwards through the morning, with the risk of hail and thunder. Some sunny spells will develop this afternoon, but then blustery showers will soon follow. Maximum temperature 10 °C.


The showers will continue tonight but they will become more isolated during the early hours, with clear spells developing for many. Minimum temperature 4 °C.


There will be isolated showers, especially along the coast at first. Cloud will soon thicken though, with some rain for the rest of the day. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Wednesday and Thursday will be wet and windy. There will be blustery showers on Thursday, with gales possible in the west. However, Friday will be drier and brighter.
