MADISON, Wis. – Although winter is officially winding down, there is still a lot of snow and ice on the ground, leaving many Wisconsinites wanting to get away to a warmer climate.
Spring break season is in full swing this month, which has caused the prices of flights to warm destinations to soar. However, it’s not too late to score a last-minute deal, according to Ed Mani, a local travel agent.
“You won’t be able to find these deals on the internet. You need to call a professional travel adviser because we get emails and alerts every day from suppliers about last-minute deals and things like that,” Mani said.
If you’re willing to wait for a vacation to a warm destination because a beach or resort full of college kids doesn’t sound appealing, Mani said the best time to travel is after Easter when peak season has passed.
