HANNIBAL, Mo. —
Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) crews are continuing to clear roads in northeast Missouri.
According to the transportation department, most roads in northeast Missouri are still covered to partly covered. The major roads are passable, and most of the smaller roads have been passed over by plows at least once.
MoDOT crews hope to get those roads passable before the end of the day on Sunday. Crews say snow is supposed to linger in much of the area until later in the afternoon, with the potential for refreeze and some patchy, freezing drizzle.
Unless it is absolutely necessary, travel is still discouraged, especially after nightfall.
